A gossip stone hidden in Ikana Canyon tells the following statement: « It seems the ReDeads that appear in Ikana Castle start dancing when the Captain's Hat, Gibdo Mask or Garo's Mask are worn. When Link enters the ancient castle of Ikana, there are four ReDeads, who will dance if Link wears the appropriate hats. The ReDeads in Ikana Castle: this one is a bit less evident anf may not be actually related to the Gormans, but I do think they are. The fact that the Gorman bros keep their Garo masks is interesting to say the least. (I am aware that I was drifting away from the main question of my theory by explaining the Gorman bros having 3 Garo masks, but I do believe that it was important to mention it for the theory) As we know, Garos can only be found in Ikana, and only those who wear the Garo mask can spot the ghosts. The possible reason why they gave one mask away is probably because this third mask might be the troupe leader’s mask, who left the ranch to pursue a career in show business, and the Gorman farmers thought they didn’t need a third mask since their third brother wasn’t with them anymore. The amount of Garo masks is interesting because it matches the number of Gorman brothers there are 3 of them as well. Therefore, the Gorman bros owned a total of 3 Garo masks (they could as well own more of these masks, but only three are shown in the game), one of them being gifted to Link. If you count the number of Garo masks presented in the game, there are 3 of them, and all 3 masks are related to the Gormans: there is of course the Garo mask that is given to Link by the Gorman brothers after beating the horse race, but let’s not forget that, during the quest where you help Cremia protect the milk products from the Gorman brothers in a chase scene, the farmers each wear a Garo mask to hide their faces. However, I believe that they didn’t randomly own the mask. It is unknown how they even got it in the first place and why such an important item would be in their hands. The Garo mask: when Link wins the horse race against the Gorman brothers, they reward him with the Garo mask. Here are a few elements in the game that drove me to link the Gormans to Ikana: But what if they are more linked to Ikana Canyon than we thought? Almost nobody knows what exactly happened to Ikana since the curse, so obviously the Gorman themselves, as ordinary beings living outside of the cursed area, would know nothing about it as well. In Majora’s Mask, the Gorman triplets are living their own lives: two of them work together in their ranch selling milk, while the third one works in show business and is the leader of his own troupe. So please no hate comments if things in my theory don’t add up, but feel free to correct me and give your own thoughts regarding the Gormans’ relation with Ikana Canyon. It’s also not an important theory when we compare it to many other theories out there, but I thought it souls still be interesting to talk about it. This is just a short and brief theory that I thought and it might not exactly be a valid one since it’s the first time I write my own Zelda theory, but I can’t help to think that the Gorman triplets are somewhat related to Ikana Canyon.
